Performing Arts

As the world of the arts is developing, the need for singing and acting is becoming just as important as dancing and it is essential to become an all-round performer. Our performing arts classes work on enabling strong skill-bases in singing, acting, dancing and the ability to combine these core skills convincingly. These classes incorporate both individual and group work and students work towards performing arts productions as well as examinations and competitions throughout the year.

EXAMINATIONS & COMPETITIONS

Students follow a carefully designed examination programme of study developed by BTDA that aims to develop amongst many things, personal expression, social and physical skills, teamwork and performance in the disciplines of Singing, Dancing and Acting. Once students have gained enough confidence alongside maintaining strong technical foundation and understanding, we offer the option of allowing students to participate in solo, duet and trio competitions in singing, acting and dancing.

PRODUCTIONS

Every year our Performing Arts students all partipate in a full musical in house production packed full of acting, singing and dancing. We encourage all of our Performing Arts students to audition for at least one or various parts of the show and the students will face the challenge of conveying certain emotions and moods with their own personal input and stylisation of that character.
